Your new role

Southend-on-Sea City Council has a great opportunity for Regulatory services Officers (x2) to join the Regulatory services team on a full time and permanent basis. This role is being offered on a hybrid basis which is a combination of working from home and attending the office.

You will lead on specific functions and operations related to Housing enforcement; however, you may also be asked to assist across the full range of Regulatory Services and related matters. As a Regulatory Services Officer you will lead on complex housing disrepair issues and complex cases as well as visiting premises within the city as required.  This will involve a range of complex inspection and enforcement activities, which may require working evenings and weekends when necessary. As well as managing your own caseload, you will also be responsible for supervising the work of other staff members where necessary.
