Your new role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Senior Educational Psychologist to join the Educational Psychologist service and wellbeing team on a full time and permanent basis. This role is within an established team and the contract is offered on a hybrid and flexible contract.

 

As a Specialist Senior Educational Psychologist, you will research, plan and develop large-scale projects in response to LA needs. You will coordinating large events (SMHL Conference, ELSA Conference, Transition event) and oversee the development of large-scale projects that serve multiple schools. You will liaise with schools via consultation methods to find out their needs and also organise SEMH project work in schools and respond to bespoke requests. You will also participate in providing a traded service to schools and academies, work with pre-school and vulnerable children, and undertake a range of statutory duties. You will be providing consultation for services and direct support for children, young people and their families.

 

The Specialist Senior Educational Psychologist will be tasked with authorising all publications and marketing that goes on the website and on the council’s social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Linked In, Tick Toc and You Tube). You will authorise and purchase resources for the team and keep an updated bank of resources to present to the ELSAs and other relevant professionals. You will line manage the SEWT staff team (initially 4 Assistant EPs (AEPs), with the potential to expand) and conduct 121 Supervision of AEPs (termly - baseline, midway review, and end of year review).

 

You need to be able to undertake a range of tasks or duties on behalf of the PEP related to EPS or SEWT work.

To be successful in this role, you must be professionally qualified and possess active registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Salary: Soulbury Senior EP Scale B (2 -5) £54,609 - £60,160 (depending on experience)

N.B: Any previously acquired SPA points will be honoured.

£10,000 retention payment (£5,000 paid after 6 months and the remaining £5,000 paid after 2 years)
