Your new role

You will be involved in the delivery of the Building Control function and ensure that the Council's obligations under the Building Act and associated legislation with regards to health and safety, welfare and convenience of persons in or about buildings are administered and enforced. This will include a multitude of tasks including site inspections, plan checking and completing enforcement actions. When required, you will deputise for the Team Leader and assist with supporting other members of the team.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful for this role, you should have a degree qualification (or equivalent) and relevant professional membership. Prior experience within Building Control is essential and you will be required to provide your own vehicle for work purposes

What you'll get in return

This is a permanent job, paying up to £54,498 per annum (including market supplement). This opportunity is available with a relocation package (where applicable) whereby you can expense up to £8000 of relocation costs.
