Southend on Sea City Council are looking to appoint a full time, Strategic Commissioning Officer within a 1-year fixed term contract.
Within this position, hybrid working opportunities are available. However, you are required to be on-site at the Civic Centre a minimum of 2 days a week.
The position will require supporting the Commissioning Team with the children's commissioning transformation programme of work. This includes developing commissioning plans that enable service users and carers to exercise choice and control in relation to how their needs are met.
Ensure that all adult / child protection policies are adhered to and concerns are raised in accordance with these policies. Assist in the preparation of project reports and documentation, supporting the development and implementation of project plans. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders, as well as participating in community outreach and engagement activities.
To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have some experience within social care and commissioning.
You will need to hold three A-levels or equivalent as well as Maths and English GCSE grade C or above.
Have competent ICT skills with good organisational and administrative skills.
