Southend-on-Sea City Council are delighted to be recruiting for a talented Data Analyst to join our innovative One Council Programme, a strategic transformation initiative focused on delivering sustainable, long-term change across all parts of the Council. This contract is offered on a full time and fixed term basis for 12 months.
As a key member of this high-impact team, you’ll play a vital role in uncovering opportunities for improvement and supporting the design and delivery of better services through evidence-based decisions. This is more than a traditional analyst role — it’s an opportunity to be part of a council-wide transformation programme that is reshaping how we serve our communities.
As a Data Analyst, you will assist with the continued development and implementation of the framework for all performance targets for the council, including Government and locally determined targets. You will also assist with the collection of data through providing advice and support to specialist practitioners, such as social workers and teachers. You will support to the implementation of statutory/voluntary survey process including data cleansing and benchmarking analysis.
To be successful in this role, you need to be able to promote, develop and deliver analytical and performance functions through the development and delivery of:
• An integrated planning and performance model.
• Strong planning and performance links across the Council and with partner Agencies.
• Continuous improvement in the use of performance data and statistical analysis.
• Effective systems for making statutory returns.
• Effective systems for the efficient distribution of analytic reports and other data.
• Collection and dissemination of performance data across service areas.
