Your new role

Are you passionate about connecting businesses with impactful community initiatives? Do you thrive on building relationships and influencing change across the business landscape? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for an Enterprise Coordinator to join our dynamic team at the Greater Essex Careers Hub, with a strong focus on employer engagement. The contract is offered on a fulltime and fixed term basis (until 31/8/2026, with possibility of extension).  This role is about working directly with businesses of all sizes—from sole traders to large corporations—to help them engage meaningfully with careers education and young people’s futures.

You’ll be the key link between employers, the Careers Hub, education and other partners, helping businesses understand how they can contribute to social value, support local skills development, and overcome barriers to youth employment. While you’ll collaborate with schools and colleges, your primary responsibility will be to engage, influence, and support businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with a wide range of employers and business stakeholders.
  • Understand and respond to the needs and constraints of businesses and the self-employed.
  • Coordinate projects and initiatives that support employer engagement in careers education.
  • Analyse data to inform strategy and produce clear, accurate reports.
  • Continuously improve systems and processes to enhance delivery and outcomes.
  • Use and maintain a CRM

You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team committed to improving career opportunities for young people across Greater Essex by empowering businesses to play a central role. This is a chance to make a real difference while developing your own professional skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and managing relationships across sectors.
  • Knowledge of local and national policy relating to skills and economic development.
  • Insight into the barriers to employment faced by young people.
  • Awareness of the needs and constraints of employers of all sizes, including the self-employed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence in assimilating new information quickly and managing competing priorities.
  • Strong data analysis and management capabilities.
  • Persistence and determination in ambiguous or evolving situations.
  • Experience coordinating programmes or projects with measurable impact.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across South Essex (driving licence and access to a vehicle desirable).
  • Comfortable presenting to groups and facilitating stakeholder engagement sessions.
