To undertake legal and administrative work to assist in the proper and effective discharge of the Council’s functions. To assist in legal proceedings relating to children and adult social care. The Legal Services team undertakes advice and case work in support of a wide range of local government services and functions. To contribute towards the corporate objective of a transforming Council delivering efficient, cost-effective services 1. To provide assistance to the lawyers by undertaking work appropriate to the grade of the post 2. To assist with bundles for court 3. To assist in maintaining the lawyers’ caseloads 4. To administer cases appropriate to the grade of the post 5. To carry out financial administrative functions 6. To assist with the development and implementation of procedures and practices within the Legal Team 7. To undertake such other work within the team as may be reasonably allocated from time to time consistent with the grade of the post.
Computer skills Experience of working in a profession Knowledge of Local Government Familiarity with Microsoft and filing systems.
